(RPL) President and CEO, Sally Lapides has been announced among this year’s honorees at the 10th Annual Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) ‘Women of Achievement Awards’ luncheon. The event will be held on Tuesday, September 30 from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
“I am both honored and thrilled to be recognized by the YWCA for my work as a business professional,” says Lapides. “Like this wonderful organization, I have worked all my life to help young women advance in the workplace and become empowered as future leaders.”
After growing up in Barrington and graduating from Boston University, Lapides co-founded Residential Properties Ltd. in 1981 and quickly grew the business into Rhode Island’s largest independent real estate company, encompassing five offices, a relocation division, a commercial real estate division, a large support staff, and over 165 agents.

She was also the former Chair of the Board at The Gordon School, the Newport International Film Festival, GAIA (Global Alliance to Immunize Against Aids) and The Rhode Island Foundation's Equity Action Campaign Committee which raised $1 million for the LGBT community fund.
